CSV in. Power BI out.

Drop in your data, tell us what you want to see, and get back a real Power BI dashboard — a .pbip zip file you open straight in Power BI Desktop. KPIs, charts, a detail table, already built.

Free, today, no account. AI reads your file and your prompt and plans the dashboard. No charge, no waitlist, no catch.

How it works Pricing Your file

Three steps. No waiting on a designer.

This is the real sequence — nothing on this page is simulated for effect.

Upload your file

We profile every column — what's a date, a category, a number — and score it for relevance before anything gets drawn.

Say what you want

Write a line describing the dashboard you need. AI reads it alongside your columns and plans the KPIs, charts and layout around it.

One minute, start to finish — a real file in, a real dashboard out.

Real files in, real dashboards out

Three actual runs of DashPrompts' code, numbers unedited. All three files below are synthetic demo data, not a real company.

What the free tier actually does

Reads every column first

Dates, categories, numbers — scored for relevance before a single visual gets placed.

DateCategoryNumber

Picks the chart that fits

A category column gets a bar chart, a date column gets a trend line — the same rule, every time.

Handles ten files as one

A real client brief we built on: ten CSVs, inconsistent headers, merged into a single model.

SUM(agent_sales[SalePrice])

Every measure is plain DAX

No black box — open any KPI card in Power BI Desktop and read the exact formula behind it.

A project you can actually open

Not an export, not a PDF — a real .pbip project folder, editable from the moment it unzips.

What to actually check in a dashboard tool

Most of these are answerable in one try, before you hand over a real file.

Does it touch your real columns, or just a template?

DashPrompts profiles every column in your actual file before it draws anything — nothing is templated in advance.

Can you open what it builds?

Every measure is plain DAX inside a normal, fully editable .pbip project — not a locked export or a PDF.

Does it work on the messy file you actually have?

Inconsistent headers, blank rows, ten tables instead of one — the profiler doesn't need a clean export first.

What happens to your data?

Nothing is kept beyond the build — your file is used once, zipped into your project, and handed back.

Questions

Short, specific answers — the same way we'd rather you find out now than after you've uploaded something that matters.

Is this actually free?

Yes. The build you see above is 100% free today — no account, no card, no trial clock. Premium (more pages, bonus files) is a future paid tier, currently a waitlist.

Does it use AI?

Yes, on the free tier. It reads your columns and your prompt and plans the KPIs, charts and layout. If that step ever fails for any reason, your build falls back to a solid rule-based default automatically — you'd never see an error for it.

What file types does it accept?

CSV, XLS, XLSX or XLSM, up to 4 MB on the free tier.

Can I edit the dashboard afterward?

Yes — it's a real, fully editable Power BI project (.pbip), not an export or a locked file. Open it in Power BI Desktop like any other project and change whatever you want.

Is my data stored anywhere?

No. Your file is used only to build your project and is zipped back to you in the same request — nothing is retained on our servers afterward.

Why does Power BI ask me to find my data the first time?

That's a real Power BI behavior, not a DashPrompts bug: it happens any time a .pbip project opens on a different machine than the one that built it. Transform data > Data source settings > Change Source, pick the file in the project's data folder, done once.
